Good Morning Orlando, Jamie, Nathan, Noah, Max, Zahra, Tanya, Yusra, Riley, Alisha, Tinomalu, Pepa, Moses, Avneet and Ida.
I hope you are all safe and well in your bubble. I have missed you and it is nice to be back on the blog where we can learn together. I will be posting onto the blog twice a week on (Mondays and Wednesdays).
Today is Wednesday 15th April 2020
Can you say that out loud to someone in your house?
Welcome back to school. We are now in Term 2.
Below are some activities you can try. Remember you can email me (nmitchell@owairaka.school.nz) any work you would like to show me and that I could share on the blog.
Listen to the song and sing along.
Can you write the 'at' words? How many can you write down?
Dance: Have a go at dancing to keep fit.
Maths:
Have fun moving and dancing by counting from 1 to 100.
Listen to the video below and sing along.
Now you can try writing down some of our rainbow facts to 10:
Reading:
Here are two fun read aloud stories for you to listen to. After listening to the stories you could draw a picture and write about it.
Remember to read books that you have at home and record the names in your reading log.
Please watch the following videos. The videos are of our sight words. Can you say them before the teacher does?
Handwriting:
Please work on 'Nn' and 'Mm' this week.
Remember to sit letters on the line and use finger spaces between the letters.
You can pick from one of the activities below to write about.
Remember to use:
- a capital letter
- full stop
- finger spaces
- sound our words
Activity 1:
Draw a picture about your holidays and then write a story about it.
Activity 2:
Pick your favourite toy and write about what it looks like or why it is your favourite toy.
Activity 3:
Look carefully at the picture. Talk about what you can see in the picture with your family. Then write a story about it.
You can work on these activities over the week. Have fun with home learning.
It would be nice to share some of your learning. You can ask your family to take pictures of your home learning and I will post it on the blog. You can email me your photos to nmitchell@owairaka.school.nz
