I am going to give you a number and you have to answer the questions.

Todays number is 39

Questions:
-What comes before 39?
-What comes after 39?
-Can you spell the number 39?
-Can you write down 39 tally marks?
-What equations can you make that equal 39 (30+9=___ )

Maths: Counting forwards and backwards in 10's.
 

Activity:
Now try and write the numbers in 10's forwards and then backwards.

Extra Challenge:

Craft Activity: Make Stick People!




Go for a walk or look in your backyard and collect a few different sticks.
  • You could organise your sticks from the tallest to the shortest.

  • Now have some fun making your own stick family.

  • wrap some wool or cotton around some sticks to join the arms and legs or just use one stick and wrap around some string (if you have some) or cut some material for clothes and glue them on

  • glue or draw on some eyes

  • draw on the rest of the face

  • be creative with your stick family


Then send me a picture of your stick people!
I would love to see them.

Handwriting: Two letters to work on this week...

Shared Book: Polar bears


Activity: After you watch the video can you write down 2-3 facts about polar bears?

What do they eat?

Where do they live?


Art Activity: Draw a polar bear. Have a go! When you have drawn the polar bear you could write a story about it.




Craft Challenge Activity:
Make a nature mandala and send me a picture of your creation.


Your mandala may take on a theme. You can use what you have at home like some shells collected from the beach to make a beach theme or be more open-ended with a variety of natures loose parts. It is up to you.

Materials: Leaves, Shells, Rocks, Flowers, Sticks, Pine Cones, Ferns….

Step 1: Collect Your Materials

Step 2: Organise your Materials by Size

Step 3: Choose a center point and work your way out. This is open-ended and can evolve as you go.

Have fun making it and then you must take a photo of it and send it to me!
