Rimu Team Assembly

Today we had a Rimu Team Assembly. It was fun to sing the 'Duffy Song' together.

We use our school values everyday. We are learning to get along with other children and to share games and equipment.  It is important to show kindness to others.

Buddy Class Art

On Wednesdays we have our 'Buddy Class'  Room 25 (Year 5-6) children meet us for reading. Today we had a collaborative art work to create. We worked on our koru patterns together.

Reading Buddies

Today in Room 5 we had 'Reading Buddies'.  

We read our book to a buddy and then coloured our poems.

Cultural Unity Day

Today was a very special day at Owairaka.  It was Cultural Unity Day.

All the children got to dress in special clothes from their culture.  We had a wonderful assembly and got to go up on the stage.

Hoorad's mum came into Room 5 to talk about Persian culture!

We also had shared kai from all over the world. It was fun to try different food.

A big thank you to all of our parents for sending along food to share.
