Kia ora Asja, Aiva, Charlie, Christopher, Darleen, Dezire, Eliza, Gau, Hoonam, Iti, John, Mikki, Oliver, Samuela, Santiago, Sasha, Starzia and TJ

Today is Friday 27th August 2021
Can you say that out loud to someone in your house?

Fitness:  Time to move around to some music to get you ready for learning.

Maths: We are going to exercise as well as counting in 2's, 5's, 10's

Counting in 2's

Counting by 5's

Count by 10's

After watching the videos of counting in 2's, 5's and 10's here is an extra challenge.
See if you can give it a go.

Phonics:
Listen to the song and sing along to the blends.

Shared Book:
Enjoy listening to Julia Donaldson's Lockdown story.  Are there some characters you recognise?  You could have a go at writing a retell of the story.  Remember to use the words (First, then, next) to help you.

Reading
Don't forget to check out Epic
It is a programme where you can read books I have assigned to you or choose your own to read. You can also have the person read the story while you listen.

Also another great website is...

Te Reo:
You can learn animals names in te reo Maori and in NSL.  Watch the video and have a go!

Days of the Week.

Drawing a frog.
We did this quickly on our Google Meet yesterday.  Have another go if you want to.

Room 5 Art Challenge:

Todays art challenge is..... to make some animal leaf art.

Here are some examples I found online

I thought these were really cute. You don't have to use the leaves for all of the animal, just have fun with it.

I would love to see what you have created. Please send me photos of your artwork.

Enjoy listening

  1. Morena Room 5,
Yesterday Ms Mitchell told me how well you are all doing on the Google Meets! Great job! She told me she'd noticed that some of you have worked out how to change the background, so she has a sea of colour to look at when she is online with you! Can you believe it is Friday already?! Unfortunately, there is rain forecast, so it might be an inside kind of weekend of games, lego and hut making. Take care, Sheryl
