Home Learning: Thursday

Hi Room 5 and whanau,

In this post there are some ideas to help you with learning at home.

The home learning pack has some things to help you with your learning. Below is a photo of the packs that were made up and put in the hall on Tuesday. If you were unable to pick these up you can use what you have at home.

Please send any photos of your learning that you would like to share on the class blog. These can be sent via email nmitchell@owairaka.school.nz

Happy home learning,
Ms Mitchell

Writing:  Noticing and Wondering

Look at the picture below. What do you notice?

Talk with you family about what you notice.

Then get your orange writing book and write the day and date Thursday 26.03.20 at the top of the page.

Next write what you notice. Start your sentence with I notice...

then

Write a sentence about a wondering. Start your sentence with I wonder...

Remember to...

  • start your story with a capital letter
  • begin by the margin and write across the line
  • use finger spaces between words
  • sound out tricky words
  • write on every second line
  • end your sentence with a full stop
Now share your story with your family or with relatives online.

Below is a video to count forwards and backwards in the range 1 to 50.

Watch the video and sing along with your family.
