Paper Rockets

Room 5 had lots of fun on Friday working together to make paper rockets.

We made the body of the rocket by rolling a piece of thick paper and it was good to have a buddy to help with this. Then we made the fins of the rocket by folding and cutting a piece of paper into a triangle and making two cuts at the bottom of the rocket to slide the fins into. Next we folded the nose of the rocket and glued the pieces together. Finally we cut out a window and a door.

Here are a few photos of us making the paper rockets.

Wonderful teamwork  Room 5. We are going to put the rockets up for display over the next few days.

  1. Niko was very proud of his rocket, I liked how he drew his face looking out the rocket window. We have had lots of 'space' talk in our house from Niko and Luka, nice for the boys to have similar areas of learning (and school wide learning) so they can can talk and learn together at home.
