Hi Room 5 and whanau,
This is a blog post to help families that have children learning from home.
If you would like to share your home learning please email me a photo to (nmitchell@owairaka.school.nz)

Can you say that out loud to someone in your house?
Sing along to this phonics song!
This will help us learn the letter names and sounds of the alphabet.
Reading
Remember to read every night or have someone read to you.
Here are our sight words. Your goal is to say it before the teacher does. Good luck!
Watch these videos and join in counting.
Can you count from 1 to 20?
Now watch the video and try to count back from 20 to 1.
Missing Numbers:
Can you fill in the missing gaps?
Can you count the objects and write how many there are?
Today for writing I want you to look at the picture and then write a story. What do you notice about the picture? What do you wonder?
Notice and Wonder Picture
I can see...
I notice...
I wonder...
I like...
When you are writing try to remember to use:
- a capital letter
- full stop
- finger spaces
- sound out the tricky words
Ka pai Ruma Rima!
