Matariki Breakfast

Today we had a 'Matariki Breakfast' with our buddy class Room 25. We listened to stories about Matariki and then we got to share kai with our buddies. We had toast and milo. It was delicious.

Our buddies also shared their learning with us about 'Space'.

We know lots of facts about Matariki:
  • It is a time for learning about the land and how to look after it
  • It is a time for sharing family stories
  • It is a time to fish and gather kaimoana
  • It is a time for making things, to learn how to weave and carve
  • It is a time for making and flying kites
  • It is time for planing trees and winter crops
Here are a few pictures from our special Matariki Breakfast! A big thank you to the lovely girls from Room 25 who helped with the toast. Kia ora!

It was fantastic to see what our buddies have been learning about Space.

Kia ora to our wonderful buddy class Room 25.  Happy Matariki.
