Milk Cartons

This week for Green Week Room 5 have been wondering about....

What happens to all those empty milk cartons?  

We know that when we finish drinking the milk that we have to fold the carton up and put it into the big blue bin.  
Where does it go after that?

Room 5 watched a couple of videos from the Fonterra Milk for Schools web page, Fonterra Milk for Schools and found out lots of information about what happens to the empty containers:

We know that the empty milk boxes get recycled and

re-made into other things like:

• Writing paper
• School books
• Roof tiles
• Small boats
• Plastic bins
