Race Relations Day

Race Relations Day: A special day of cultural celebrations at our school.

Today we went to assembly to take part in the school cultural parade. Here are a few pictures of beautiful Room 5 children.

Then we went back to our class and had some special visitors.  Here are a few photos of the parents who came to share something from their culture with Room 5. 

We loved making tickets and learning a train song from Switzerland.

We had fun learning how to do origami with Toki.

We enjoyed listening to a very old story from Ireland. 

Next we had an amazing shared lunch.  We tried lots of yummy food from different cultures.

A wonderful day! Thank you to all our parents for sending along food for us to share.

Discovery Time

Today we had Discovery Time.

This week our focus for Discovery was sharing toys or games with friends.

School Focus: Getting Along

This week our school focus is: Getting Along

Green Day

We had a fantastic Green Week.

Today we had Green Day! A fun day where Room 5 got to wear green. Lots of children also tried to come to school by, scooter, walking or biking.

We also worked with our buddy class (Room 18) to pick up leaves around the Zen garden to look after our school.
