Swimming

Today we had our first swim in the school pool. The water was beautiful and warm. We had fun splashing around.  It was great to use the noodles and boards to work on floating.

Beach Education Trip

Today we had our Beach Education Trip to Point Chev. It was a fun day and we even got to go for a swim!  The waves were a perfect size for us and the water was warm.

We loved the activities on the beach:

• sandcastle making
• digging holes
• finding shells
• tug of war
• towel song
• towel and ball game

We had fun at the tug of war game!



Even the parents had a good time with the tug of war game.



The towel game with music was exciting.









Trying to keep the ball in the towel was a challenge.












Next we got to to into the water for a swim. The waves were wonderful.









Then we went up to the grass area and played a few games as well:











Room 5 really enjoyed the sponge and water activity.

Swimming

This week swimming starts and Room 5 will be swimming on...

• Wednesday (class swim)
• Friday (Rimu lunchtime swim)

Please remember to bring...

• togs
• towel
• swimming bag

Also, please make sure children have comfortable clothes that are easy for them to change in and out of for swimming.
