PMP

Today we had PMP it was so fun! There were three activities for us to do and it was wonderful to have parent helpers.

The first activity was jumping and balancing 

The second activity was balancing on the beam and see-saw.

The third activity was rolling in the dizzy giddy and aiming.

We love reading books in Room 5. It is great to be able to pick a book and sit and read. Here are a few photos of us reading.

Firewise

Over the past few weeks we have been learning to be Firewise.

Topics we have discussed are:

• What is fire?
• Matches and lighters
• Smoke alarms
• If there is a fire in my room

• Get down, get low, get out - FAST
• Shut the door
• Shout FIRE, FIRE, FIRE
• Stay out
• Go to the safe meeting place.

A Firewise activity book went home today for families to go through together.

The Firewise programme focuses on:

• not playing with matches and lighters
• being safe near  fires
• understanding that fire can be dangerous
• knowing what to do if there is a fire in a room
• practising evacuating from a room in a fire emergency.
