Autumn Art

Autumn Art:
Room 5 went for a walk around the school to look at the last few trees with autumn leaves. 
We looked at the bright colours of the leaves to help us with painting our trees.

Then we drew our trees with pencil and crayon. We coloured in the tree trunk and branches with a brown crayon.

Next we went outside and enjoyed the sun while we painted our trees.

Here are a few photos of Room 5 painting our Autumn trees. We used warm colours like yellow, orange and red to paint the leaves on our tree.

So many beautiful smiles and warm autumn colours.

Our finished art will be up in the class on Monday. Please come in to have a look.

We have had a great first week back at school. Room 5 have enjoyed getting back to learning at school.

We read a story called 'Kitty Cat is Clever' and then we described the main character.

This week we had another birthday!  Avneet is now 6 years old!

Welcome back to School!

We have had a great first day back at school.  It was wonderful to see almost everyone.

We sang 'Happy Birthday' to the 3 children who had birthdays in 'Lockdown'.

Today we worked on 'et' words in phonics:

Have a go at writing them down:

jet     pet     wet     get     met     bet    let     net     set

We had fun reading our books with the teacher (readers will stay at school for now)

Then later in the day we read our book with a buddy.

At maths time we worked on counting in 2's. Here is a video to help you.

After that we worked on an activity sheet with a focus on counting in 2's.  It was good to cut out the numbers and glue them on by ourselves.

Next we did some handwriting. The letter 'k' . We are getting better at making tall k's.
