Time for some 'Cosmic Yoga' to get you ready for learning.  
Phonics:
Listen to the song and sing along.

Can you write the 'ot' words? How many can you write down?

Shared book:
Here is our shared book for today.
 
Activity:
After you have watched the story I want you to draw a picture and write about what you liked.
Your sentence could start like this:
I liked the bear hunt because it was fun to see the family explore. 
My favourite part was when they splashed through the river.

Remember to use:

-capital letter

-full stop
-finger spaces


-sound out words

-use the word because

Maths: Count in groups of 2

Activity:
Counting in 2's. Can you fill in the gaps?

I found a cosmic kids yoga video that I thought you might like. 


Calendar Maths
Just like we do in class, we can do at home. I am going to give you a number and you have to answer the questions.

Todays number is 11

Questions:
-What comes before 11?
-What comes after 11?
-Can you spell the number 11?
-Can you write down 11 tally marks?
-What equations can you make that equal 11 (6+5=11)?

Writing
Today for writing I want you to look outside a window or your front door and tell me what you can... *see  *hear   *feel


Draw a picture of what you see and then write a story about it.

Te Reo: 
This is a greeting song for you to sing along with.

Time to move around to some music to get you ready for learning.  
I hope you like the dancing.

Listen to the song and sing along

Activity:
Can you write the 'an' words? How many can you write down?

Reading:
Please watch the following video of the top 100 'sight words'


Shared book:
Here is our shared book for today. I think you will like reading about the dragon.

Activity:
After you have watched the video I want you to write a story about what you liked.
Your sentence could start like this:
I liked the dragon because...
or
I liked the part when the dragon snorted silver stars and farted purple smoke.

Remember to use:
-a capital letter
-full stop
-finger spaces
-sound out words
-use the word because

Art: Here is a video on how to draw a dragon. I know you will enjoy watching it.


Activity: Now draw a picture of the dragon! I would love to see some of your pictures. Remember to take a photo of your drawing and email it to me.
