Today we had a visit from Janina who came to tell us a music story. We listened to the music story and got to join in as well.
We enjoyed hearing about Ureia and the storm. We liked hearing about Tangaroa (god of the forest) Tawhirimatea (guardian of the winds), Marama and the taniwha.
We liked looking at the string instrument today. The violin is a string instrument and it is lots of fun to play. Here are a few photos of us trying the violin.
We are a year 1 class at Owairaka Primary School from Auckland, New Zealand. This blog is a place where we can share our learning.

Today we had PMP in the hall.
We liked ...
Thank you to our parents for helping at PMP today!
We liked ...
- climbing
- balancing
- jumping
- skipping
- hopping
- rolling
- throwing
We really liked jumping over the skipping ropes and bouncing on the moon hopper.
It was also fun to crawl through the shapes and do the pencil roll on the mat.
We were good at balancing on the line and crossing our feet over the line.
We liked stepping over the ladder as well.
We had fun throwing the bean bag into the hoop!
We all had a good aim.
