Reading Buddies
Today we had reading buddies in Room 5. We get to read out loud to a friend and then we listen to our buddy read.
Next we get to read the poem of the week and colour it in. This weeks poem was fun to learn it had lots of 'ee' words.

Diwali Show
Room 5 are learning about Diwali.
We read this book about Diwali. We also learnt a few words in Hindi.
We know some facts about Diwali...

Today Room 5 went to the hall to watch a special show to celebrate Diwali. Here are a few photos from the show.

- The word Diwali means a row of lights.
- Little lamps are called divas.
- Diwali is known as the festival of lights.
- People share food to celebrate.
- People dance and enjoy music.
- There are fireworks to celebrate Diwali
- People draw special patterns called Rangoli.

Welcome back to School!
