Reading in the Fale

We went outside and read in the Fale.  Here are a few photos of us reading our books.

Room 5 Class Treaty

LEARN: We have been learning about the 'Treaty of Waitangi'
We read a story about it and looked at pictures of the treaty.

CREATE: We created our own 'Class Treaty'
Room 5 talked about the 'Treaty of Waitangi'.  Then we talked about rules for our class and wrote our ideas down.  Next we made the rules together and all agreed to follow them when we are at school.

SHARE:  We have written out our rules and are sharing them in the classroom with our parents and also share it on our blog. Here are some photos of us signing our 'Class Treaty'. 

We all got to shake hands and agreed that we would follow the rules that we made together. Then we got to sign the Class Treaty.  It was a special day for our class.

Maths: Statistics

LEARN:  In maths we have been learning to collect and sort objects into groups.

 

CREATE:  We worked in pairs to sort bears into groups.  We know that you can sort objects into groups by size and colour. 

 

SHARE:  We also talked with our buddies about how many objects we had in our groups and how we sorted them. It was fun to work with a buddy.
