Our Insect Hunt

Room 5 wondered what kind of insects we would find at school? 

We decided to go on an 'Insect Hunt' to find out!

Room 5 went on an 'Insect Hunt" and we found lots of different kinds of insects.

We found:

• Lady bugs
• Slugs
• Slaters
• Ants
• Spiders

We walked around the junior area of the school and looked in hedges and in planter boxes. We had fun finding insects.

The magnifying glass made everything bigger!

We took turns sharing the magnifying glass!

We saw lots of insects on the plants!

We carefully lifted up rocks and found insects under them! Look at the slug on this rock.

We found lots of ants on the ground.

The slaters moved quickly!

We enjoyed looking for insects! There were not as many insects as we thought.  So, we want to encourage more insects in the gardens in our school.
